Richelle Flanagan, Registered Dietitian, who has lived with Parkinson's since 2017, explains the vision for NutritionPD and how she hopes to bridge the gap in nutritional care for people living with Parkinson's.
We create online nutrition programmes designed to empower people with Parkinson's, and their care partners, to improve their lives through evidence based nutrition education developed by registered dietitians.

Did you know that many Parkinson’s symptoms, such as constipation, swallowing difficulties, poor nutrition, weak bones, and low blood pressure, can be affected by what you eat?
What and when you eat can also change how well your medicines work.
But here’s the problem: 9 out of 10 people with Parkinson’s don’t have access to a dietitian. Dietitians are experts trained to help you use food to manage symptoms and feel your best.
NutritionPD has been created to help you learn how your diet can help with your specific symptoms of Parkinson's and even slow it's progression.
In January 2025, we worked with Parkinson's UK to trial the Mediterranean PD programme. Click below to learn about how this programme has already helped people with Parkinson's.
