Nutrition PD Website Privacy Notice

My Moves Matter  (“the Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”) takes its responsibilities under applicable data protection law, including the General Data Protection Regulation and implementing legislation

(“Data Protection Law”) very seriously.  The purpose of this notice is to inform you of the data relating to you that we may collect and use and the uses (including disclosures to third parties) we may make of your data in connection with this website.

The Company is the controller in respect of your data and is registered under registration number       725514 and has its registered office at 15 Fortfield Drive Terenure, Dublin  6W, Ireland.

1. Personal Data that we collect and process

We collect and process personal data relating to you in connection with your use of this website and our relationship with you. This personal data may include the following information that we collect directly from you:

  • your      name, your email address; and your country of residence
  • any      other personal data relating to you that you provide to us or that we      generate about you in connection with your use of this website.
  • We      do not seek any health data from you, however, if you choose to share      health data in the chat section of the programme (which will be visible to      all other users in the programme), we will process that health data.
  • Payment      information if required for certain services

2. Website Usage Data

We use a monitoring application to collate and analyse certain statistical information about the use of this website. When you visit our website, the following information is retained about that visit:

  • your      IP address;
  • your      web browser type and version;
  • your      operating system; and
  • a      list of URLs starting with a referring site, your activity on our site and      the site you exit to.

No attempt is made to identify individual users or to associate the technical details listed above with any individual.

3. Store, use, share and disclose website visitors personal information on godaddy.com.

Our company is hosted on the godaddy.com platform. Godaddy.com provides us with an online platform that allows us to provide our services to you. Your data may be stored on our behalf through godaddys data storage, databases and the general godaddy.com applications. GoDaddy stores your data on secure servers behind a firewall.

Practicebetter.io provides us with the online platform that allows us to provide our nutrition services to you. Your data may be stored through practicebetter.io data storage, databases. Practice Better stores your data on secure servers behind a firewall.

Practice Better is an electronic practice management tool which stores health records, appointment information, and communication between practitioners and clients.

In addition to godaddy.com and Practicebetter.io, we may use products and services provided by other third-party suppliers for certain functionality, including dietetic video programs, customer, and technical support management, and seeking user feedback.  Where any such third-party supplier processes your data on our behalf, we will have a contract with them that includes appropriate obligations regarding their processing of your data.

​5. Purposes of processing and legal bases

We will use personal data relating to you for the purpose of communicating with you following your registration on our website.

We will contact you from time to time to provide you with

  • Content      relevant to Parkinsons Disease such as blogs, newsletters, e-books,      recipes, courses
  • Content      for the My Moves Matter and Nutrition PD communities
  • ​Content for the Nutrition  PD programmes 
  • Progress      updates, invitation to presentation of newly available features on the My      Moves Matter Mobile App
  • Content      helping you to better manage fluctuations in symptoms of Parkinson’s      Disease
  • Provide      new research result in the area of Parkinson’s Disease
  • Invitation      to surveys helping to improve our understanding of needs for people with      Parkinson’s Disease.
  • Information      on new clinical pilot studies which we are doing related to the My Moves      Matter Mobile App or other services
  • Communicate      any changes in these Privacy Notice

We rely on the legal basis of contractual necessity to process your personal data where this is necessary to perform our contract with you (these Terms) in connection with providing the My Moves Matter Nutrition PD Programmes.

We rely on the legal basis of consent for the purpose of communicating with you following your registration on our website.

6. Recipients of Data

We will not disclose your personal data to other organisations except to third-party suppliers we engaged to process your data on our behalf (e.g. as outlined in sections 3 and 4 above) or as otherwise permitted or required by law (e.g. if we are obliged to do so in connection with an investigation being carried out by a law enforcement agency).

We will not hold your personal data for longer than is necessary. We retain your personal data for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this notice, or to comply with our obligations under applicable law and, if relevant, to deal with any claim or dispute that might arise between you and us.


7. Transfers Abroad

In connection with the above, we may transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area, including to a jurisdiction which is not recognised by the European Commission as providing for an equivalent level of protection for personal data as is provided for in the European Union.

8. Your rights and how to update your information

You have the following rights, in certain circumstances and subject to certain restrictions, in relation to your personal data:

  • Right      to access the data – You have the right to request a copy of the personal      data that we hold about you, together with other information about our      processing of that personal data.
  • Right      to rectification – You have the right to request that any inaccurate data      that is held about you is corrected, or if we have incomplete information      you may request that we update the information such that it is complete.
  • Right      to erasure – You have the right to request us to delete personal data that      we hold about you. This is sometimes referred to as the right to be      forgotten.
  • Right      to restriction of processing or to object to processing – You have the      right to request that we no longer process your personal data for      particular purposes, or to object to our processing of your personal data      for particular purposes.
  • Right      to data portability – You have the right to request us to provide you, or      a third party, with a copy of your personal data in a structured, commonly      used machine readable format.
  • Right      to withdraw your consent – Where our processing of your personal data is      based on you having provided your consent, you have the right to withdraw      such consent.

Please note that these rights are not absolute, and are subject to certain restrictions and exemptions.  For example, the right to erasure of personal data will not apply where we have a legitimate reason to continue to hold such data.
