Richelle has over two decades of experience in healthcare and business. With 21 years as a dietitian—19 of those in private practice—and 11 years in sales and marketing within the FMCG and tech sectors, Richelle brings a rare blend of clinical insight and commercial acumen to everything she does.
As former President of the Irish Nutrition & Dietetic Institute (INDI), Richelle spearheaded a period of transformative change. She established the organisation’s first board of directors, introduced strong governance structures, led the creation of its inaugural strategic plan, and successfully lobbied the Irish government and HSE to improve access to dietetic care. She also stepped in as Interim CEO, leading the transition to new executive leadership.
She is a leading voice in the global Parkinson’s community. Diagnosed with young-onset Parkinson’s herself, she speaks regularly on the role of nutrition in Parkinson’s care for organisations including Parkinson’s Europe, Parkinson’s UK, Parkinson’s Ireland, Neurology Academy, Parkinson’s Australia, and the World Parkinson Congress (WPC). She is co-founder of the Women’s Parkinson’s Project, a founding member of the PD Avengers, and a former WPC Ambassador. In recognition of her impact, she received the WPC Robin A. Elliott Award for outstanding community service.
She has co-authored six peer-reviewed publications on diet and Parkinson’s and contributes to national and international research as a patient representative and expert advisor
